Changing of seasons

Well now that we’ve made it through another winter, and whether you’re worse for wear after it taking so long to finally run its course, we can take a lot of comfort in the fact that summer has finally arrived. Summer is an extremely busy time for a Columbus, OH screen printing company. Everybody who works outside for a living has started to go back to their jobs and they seem to all be calling at pretty much the same time. They are wanting to go from long sleeve cold-weather apparel to the short-sleeved applications such as custom T-shirts. Although we’re very thankful to have things picking up concerning our work load, but there is a very fine line sometimes between a wonderful blessing and a curse. The point I’m trying to make is that a Columbus, OH T-shirt printing company most certainly has to have balance.

We use the long winter to address issues that we do not normally have time to address when we’re in our busy season. It’s a great time to catch up on former customers that you haven’t spoke to in a while and get an idea of when they are next going to be looking for a future order. This helps us to build stronger bonds with them. The overwhelming majority of them will not actually need any additional custom screen printing or embroidery at this very moment but it’s a good bet that they will be wanting to acquire some more tee shirts in the not-too-distant future.

There is a very fine line that an excellent salesman walks when calling on repeat customers. He doesn’t want to be a pain in the butt, but at the same time he most certainly doesn’t want to be forgotten. Timing is everything in life and this industry is certainly no exception to that rule. Sometimes slowing down is a great way to reevaluate and set yourself up for overwhelming success is not only beneficial for your bottom line, but also for your mental health. It’s a great way to reevaluate and keep things in their proper perspective. This type of approach will set you up for continued success going into the new season. The bottom line to this approach is to maximize your effectiveness and all the different areas of your shop.

I have always been a big fan of working smarter and not harder in other words, working with maximum efficiency and at the same time minimal effort. There are only a certain amount of working hours in the business day so there is a lot of wisdom in being able to leverage your time. I think there’s a lot to be said for discussing your particular situation. In order to evaluate several possible solutions to any problems that you might be incurring with your managers as well as employees. They see things from a whole different perspective. I might not always agree with what they have to say but I definitely value their opinion.
