How much does a custom t-shirt cost?

Pricing depends on several factors and each job is quoted individually. You can submit your logo along with quantity, color, and garment preferences (screen printing or embroidery) through the free quote request form, and expect a response within one business day.

If I pay for a screen printing film, do I own it?

The charge covers developing the film, not a physical screen. The film is archived and reused for future reorders at no extra charge, which also makes reorders faster since color separations don't need to be redone. A copy can be provided on request.

Does your quote include the t-shirt itself?

Yes, quotes typically include the garment unless you specify otherwise. Supplying your own garment is possible, but they recommend letting them provide the shirt since they can replace misprinted or damaged garments quickly during production.

Can you handle a rush order for an event next week?

Normal lead time is 10 working days, but a 5-day rush service is available for an additional rush charge. For time-sensitive orders, calling directly is recommended over emailing so you can discuss options with staff in real time.

I don't have artwork ready — can you help design it?

Yes. While most customers provide print-ready artwork, they can assist with cleanup and color separation as needed. Cleaner starting artwork generally produces a better finished print.

How long does screen printing last?

Durability depends on wash frequency, detergent (bleach shortens lifespan), and how often the garment is worn. Proper ink curing during production — typically around 320°F — is the key factor in long-term durability.

Is a small order of 12 pieces too small for you?

No — small orders of around 12 pieces receive the same attention to detail and quality as orders of 1,000 units.

Mike Fadem is the owner and founder of Sunburst Logo LLC, the company behind T-Shirt Columbus OH. With approximately 30 years of hands-on experience in custom apparel, Mike helps Columbus-area businesses, schools, teams, nonprofits, clubs and community organizations turn their ideas into professionally printed apparel.

From a Garage Press to a Regional T-Shirt Business

Mike’s path into the custom apparel industry began in 1996. At the time, he operated an asphalt business, but the seasonal nature of the work led him to search for a business he could build throughout the year.

The inspiration came while he was visiting a shopping mall during the asphalt company’s off-season. As Mike watched people passing by, he noticed how many were wearing screen-printed shirts, embroidered hats and other decorated apparel. He saw an opportunity and decided to teach himself how to make those products.

Mike purchased an inexpensive, well-used printing press and installed it in his garage. He started with determination and an entrepreneurial spirit, but little knowledge of screen printing. Learning the craft took patience, practice and plenty of ruined shirts. With guidance from experienced printers—and a commitment to keep improving—Mike developed the production skills and industry knowledge that became the foundation of Sunburst Logo.

Bringing That Experience to Columbus

Today, Mike brings decades of screen-printing and embroidery experience to customers throughout Columbus, Franklin County and the surrounding Central Ohio communities through T-Shirt Columbus OH.
